I know what you're probably thinking, and no, this photo is not about over-eating. That would be gluttony. This is about the greed for pleasure. Let me explain...

Meat is not required for a human being to live a long and healthy life. In fact, it would probably be healthier if we DIDN'T eat meat. So why do we kill hundreds of thousands of millions of defenseless animals every week? And not just kill, slaughter. Sometimes, in such painful, disgusting ways.

We do it because we're greedy for pleasure. For those few minutes of tasting that flesh on our tongues. We don't care about all those lives that have been taken. We don't care about the cruelty battery hens are treated with. We don't care about the baby lambs who have to lose their mothers. Animals raised for food aren't even given a life in the first place. They're dumped straight into hell. Not even given a chance. We don't care. And THAT is greed.
